What year did you start CrossFitting?

2008

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

When I began my career as a firefighter I was looking for a training regimen that would take my fitness to the next level. I wanted to be able to perform my job and serve my community to the best of my ability. CrossFit gave me a level of fitness that I never thought possible and has ignited a passion inside me to pursue my highest potential!!

Why did you become a trainer?

I first became a trainer to help other firefighters improve their fitness to better perform their jobs. The more I trained others the more I realized the positive impact that CrossFit could have on people (beyond physical fitness). I experienced people taking on challenges that they never would have before, building confidence, and changing their lives!! This is when I knew that I wanted to share this with as many people as possible!!

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Clean & Jerk and Snatch

What is your favorite cheat food?

Medium-Rare Cheeseburger with Bacon and a Fried Egg on Top, French Fries, and Fried Pickle Chips….

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

My favorite Superhero is Batman because he has no super powers at all. He’s just a man who uses martial arts and a slew of ingenious gadgets to defeat the bad guys.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

The Pump baby!! I really enjoy training and testing my abilities. Being athletic has always been a part of who I am.

Why did you become a trainer?

I became a trainer because I like to workout, and thought it would be fun. I stayed a trainer and made a career out of it because I grew passionate about helping people change their lives in a positive direction.

Back Squat

What is your favorite cheat food?

Any Italian Food

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Really don’t have one.

What year did you start CrossFitting?

2011

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I got into fitness because I like the physical challenge and the growth that comes along with it. I love the concept of transformation…of becoming someone you never imagined you could become, of doing things you never thought you could do, of turning your life around, etc.

Why did you become a trainer?

I became a CrossFit trainer because I wanted to challenge myself while supporting others in their CrossFit journey.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

The overhead squat

What is your favorite cheat food?

Burgers and fries. And I love cheese pastries!

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wonder Woman because she represents strength, beauty and justice. She is not defined by just one role or aspect of herself; she can be a stand for all of those things at the same time.

What year did you start CrossFitting?

2012

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I competed in judo for 15 years. Then I moved to a location without a judo studio anywhere close by. So I saw a replay of the CrossFit Games one day on ESPN and for some reason it appealed to me. Looked up the closest box and haven’t looked back.

Why did you become a trainer?

I coached judo for a long time and it was something that always appealed to me. Now, four years into CrossFit, I feel the same way. I love being able to help others achieve their goals and help become a better version of themselves.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Cleans and hand stand push ups (t-rex arms).

What is your favorite cheat food?

Pepperoni/bacon pizza and a diet coke.

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

The Hulk, totally unassuming scientist most of time, until it’s time to throw down and then it’s total beast mode!

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I’ve coached distance running in the past and have grown to love CrossFit so much that I decided I’d like to coach that as well!

Why did you become a trainer?

I wanted to learn more about CrossFit and it’s movements so that I could use that knowledge to help others in their personal fitness journey. I’m also studying nutrition and felt that I would be more well-rounded if I was a trainer as well.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Pullups & Kettlebell Swings

What is your favorite cheat food?

Pizza

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Phoenix, because she’d win in a fight with Wonder Woman.
